- W2047873367 abstract "Seawater flue gas desulfurization (SFGD) is a green technology to clean the exhaust gas of combustion of fossil fuels. It is an effective approach to reduce SO <sub xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>2</sub> emission and control atmospheric pollution for seaside coal-fired power plant. It has a broad application prospect because coal plays a significant role for power generation in a long period in the future. In this work, a kind of new parallel flow tray was introduced to SFGD process, wet pressure drop and desulfurization efficiency were measured in different operating conditions including superficial linear velocity and liquid flux using parallel flow trays with dissimilar characteristic parameters including number of blade and turning angle of blade. The effects of various factors on wet pressure drop and desulfurization efficiency were studied. The results show that parallel flow tray has its advantages such as low energy consumption, high efficiency and large treatment capacity which are very suitable for SFGD process and drastically reduce equipment investment. Conclusion within the experimental limits of this paper, parallel flow tray with 12 blades and 60° turning angle of blade is better one considering SO <sub xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>2</sub> removal efficiency and manufacturing cost." @default.
