The material properties of the nanorods were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transition electron microscope (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis (XPS), impedance analysis, and N2 adsorption–desorption isothermal measurement. The gas response study of the NiV2O6 material was carried out at different operation temperatures. Obtained results showed that the NiV2O6 materials exhibited good selectivity and repeatability for NH3 gas, and comparatively fast response and recovery time for detecting the NH3 of a 100 ppm level at the temperature of 120 °C. The sensing mechanism of the NiV2O6 material was also discussed in detail." @default.
