- W2049359305 abstract "This work has been carried out to save human life from automobile pollutants of carbon monoxide (CO) and oxides of nitrogen (NO x ), by using the emulsified fuel. Based on this, the emulsified fuel has been prepared by using a surfactant (Tween-80) and oxygen-enriched additive hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), obtaining the best emulsified ratio of 50D:50E. Also, water has been added on percentage basis to the selected ratio of the emulsified fuel, and the performance and emission characteristics have been investigated. The experiments have been conducted by using a single cylinder, four stroke, water cooled engine, by maintaining a constant speed of 1500 rpm. The outcome results show the best increase in brake thermal efficiency, lowering of specific fuel consumption (SFC) and reduction in CO and NO x emissions, when using the selected ratio of the emulsified fuel. Also, water-added emulsified fuel, despite indicating a minor reduction in brake thermal efficiency and a marginal increase in SFC, compared with the waterless emulsified fuel, at the same time, exhibits even further reduction in CO and NO x emissions, rendering it a better candidate for a cleaner fuel. Hence, by using this water-added emulsified fuel, major pollutants of CO and NO x emissions have been reduced, which will save human life and environment." @default.
