- W2050547029 abstract "Abstract Five enzymes of deoxyribonucleotide and deoxyribonucleoside metabolism were assayed simultaneously in high-speed supernatant fractions prepared from livers of partially hepatectomized rats. The content of each enzyme in 24.5-hr. regenerating liver was compared with its content in the same tissue immediately after surgery. Four- and sixfold increases in the levels of thymidylate synthetase and thymidine kinase, respectively, were found to have occurred before the amount of deoxyeytidylate deaminase had been altered appreciably. In contrast to thymidine kinase, no significant change in the levels of deoxyadenosine kinase or deoxyeytidine kinase was observed. The activity of the deoxyribonucleoside kinases was not altered in the supernatant fractions by the addition of fluoride at a concentration that inhibited deoxyribonucleotide phosphatase activity more than 80%." @default.
