The calculated magnetic susceptibility at low temperatures shows large enhancement due to the surface state in comparison with Pauli paramagnetism. This behavior is in good agreement with the peculiar temperature dependence of the susceptibilities of the reported divalent small metallic particles measured by the electron-spin-resonance method." @default.
