- W2051214120 abstract "Lead oxide activities in ternary PbO-CaO-SiO2 melts with up to 16 mol % CaO have been measured by solid electrolyte galvanic cells of the type:Ir/Pb,(PbO)PbO,CaO,SiO2 /ZrO2(CaO;Y2O3)/air/Pton a temperature interval of 900–1000°C. SiO2 solubilities in these silicates were also determined. Lead oxide activities have been calculated from the emf and composition data. Activities of CaO(s) and SiO2(s) have been determined by using Darken's and Schuhmann's methods for integration of the Gibbs-Duhem equation at 1000°C. The results indicate that a PbO is increased by CaO additions to the melt, when x PbO:x SiO2 > 2:3, but decreased at the silica saturation. Behaviour of the component activities was found to be qualitatively similar to that in the system FeO-CaO-SiO2. Résumé Les activites de l'oxyde de plomb dans des mélanges liquides ternaires PbO-CaO-SiO2 contenant jusqu'à 16 % molaires de CaO ont été mesurées entre 900 et 1000°C a l'aide de piles galvaniques du type:Ir/Pb,(PbO)PbO,CaO,SiO2 /ZrO2(CaO;Y2O3)/air/PtLes solubilités du SiO2 dans ces silicates on aussi été déterminées. Les activites de l'oxyde de plomb ont été calculées a partir des mesures de FEM et des compositions. Les activités de CaO(s) et SiO2(s) ont été déterminées par les méthodes de Darken et Schuhmann pour l'intégration de l'équation de Gibbs-Duhem à 1000°C. Les résultats montrent que l'activité de PbO est augmentée par l'addition de CaO au bain lorsque x PbO:x SiO2 > 2:3, mais qu'elle est diminuée à saturation en silice. On a trouvé qualitativement que le comportement des activités des composants est semblable à celui du système FeO-CaO-SiO2." @default.
