- W2053018181 abstract "In wireless networks, generally nodes operate with batteries for its own normal operation like mobility, packet forwarding. These nodes tend to drain their energy even when it remains in idle mode. In MANETs, this exhaustion of energy will be more due to its infrastructureless nature and mobility. This may lead a node to drain their energy completely within a short period comparing with general mobile network. Due to this lack of energy, communication between two nodes gets blocked and their topology may also vary as these nodes are interrupted from its own communication path. This may drastically affect the performance of routing protocol and also affect the network lifetime. Several researches have gone so far for predicting node lifetime and link lifetime. To address this problem a new algorithm has been developed which utilizes the network parameters relating to dynamic nature of nodes viz. energy drain rate, relative mobility estimation rate to predict the node lifetime and link lifetime. Then the least dynamic route has been selected for forwarding the data packets. Finally, this route lifetime prediction algorithm is implemented in the new protocol environment which is based on DSR protocol which explores the dynamic nature. This new protocol outperforms than the existing protocol for example Lifetime prediction routing (LPR) and Dynamic source Routing(DSR) protocol in terms of Throughput, Routing failure, Routing overhead, Packet loss Ratio and Packet delivery ratio." @default.
