- W2053446034 abstract "The fine structure of the differentiating muscle of the human bladder was studied in foetuses of between 28 and 154 mm crown-rump length. In the youngest specimen the cells were often stellate in form but in those obtained during the 3rd month they were mostly fusiform and were arranged in layers. By the 5th month the cells had acquired most of the features of adult muscle and their arrangement and relationship to one another was consistent with the co-ordinated activity required for the active excretion of urine into the amniotic cavity. Continued differentiation of the muscle coat was also evident at this stage of development. The similarity of some of the vascular structures to the groups of differentiating muscle cells is discussed. La structure intime du muscle de differenciation de la vessie humaine fut étudiée sur des échantillons provenant de foetus de taille variant de 28 à 154mm. Les cellules avaient fréquemment une forme étoilée dans les spécimens les plus jeunes mais dans ceux agés de 3 mois elles étaient le plus souvent fuseiformes et disposées en couches. Au 5e mois les cellules avaient acquis la plupart des traits musculaires de l'adulte. De plus leur dispositions relatives mutuelles étaient compatibles avec la co-ordination requise pour l'excrétion urinale dans la cavité amniotique. La différenciation continue de la couche musculaire était également évidente à ce stage. La similarité de certaines des structures vasculaires avec les groupes de muscles de différenciation est discutée. Diese Arbeit befasste sich mit der Muskelfeinstruktur und ihrer Differenzierung in den Harnblasen von menschlichen Feten mit Scheitel-Steisslängen zwischen 28 und 154 mm. In einem Probestück aus dem jüngsten Fetus waren die Zellen oft sternförmig angeordnet, aber in Feten von drei Monaten waren sie meist fusiform and schichtweise angeordnet. Im fünften Monat hatten die Zellen schon die meisten Merkmale der erwachsenen Muskulatur angenommen. Ihre Anordnung und Beziehungen zueinander waren verträglich mit der Koordination der Tätigkeit, welche für aktive Harnausscheidung in die Amnionhöhle nötig ist. In dieser Entwicklungsphase konnte eine fortlaufende Differenzierung der Muskelschichte beobachtet werden.
