- W2053999290 abstract "Hodgkin lymphoma in elderly patients is an uncommon entity with a poor prognosis. It is usually diagnosed in advanced stages and presents with poor prognostic features. Comorbidity is also a frequent problem in the management of these patients. There is no standard treatment for advanced stages. Adriamycin, bleomycin, vincristine and dacarbazine combination-type chemotherapy, as in younger patients, is an option in elderly patients; however, tolerance is usually poor. Bleomycin toxicity can be a serious problem. Chemotherapy-adapted regimens for the elderly have not produced better results and chemotherapy intensification should not be used. In early stages, the combined use of short-course chemotherapy alongside involved-field radiotherapy is the most reasonable approach in most patients." @default.
