- W2055116657 abstract "The constant conversion policy which has been shown to be optimal in certain classes of optimal control problems for reactors with decaying catalyst is examined here for the inlet temperature control in a tubular reactor where the catalyst decay is a function of the composition. A single irreversible reaction is considered where the rate expression is a product of separate functions of temperature, concentration or conversion and catalyst activity. The catalyst decay rate expression is also a product of separate functions of the same variables. A proof of the constant exit conversion property is given for problems where the decay rate is of first-order with respect to the catalyst activity.On examine la methode de transformation constante qui s'est averee la meilleure dans certaines categories de problemes relatifs au controle optimal, lorsqu'il s'agit de reacteurs impliquant des catalyseurs qui se desintegrent; cet examen s'applique au reglage de la temperature d'entree dans un reacteur tubulaire dans lequel la desintegration du catalyseur est fonction de la composition. On considere une seule reaction irreversible dans laquelle l'expression de la vitesse est un produit des fonctions distinctes de temperature, concentration ou transformation et activite du catalyseur. L'expression de la vitesse de desintegration du catalyseur est aussi un produit des fonctions distinctes des měmes variables. On presente une preuve de la propriete de transformation constante a la sortie dans le cas de problemes ou la vitesse de desintegration est du premier ordre par rapport a l'activite du catalyseur." @default.
