- W2055472605 abstract "Intrinsic tracer impurity diffusion measurements in ceramic oxides have been primarily confined to CoO, NiO, and Fe3O4. Tracer impurity diffusion in these materials, and TiO2, together with measurements of the effect of impurities on tracer diffusion (Co in NiO and Cr in CoO), are reviewed and discussed in terms of impurity-defect interactions and mechanisms of diffusion. Divalent impurities in divalent solvents seem to have a weak interaction with vacancies whereas trivalent impurities in divalent solvents strongly influence the vacancy concentrations and significantly reduce solvent jump frequencies near a trivalent impurity. Impurities with small ionic radii diffuse more slowly with a larger activation energy than impurities with larger ionic radii for all systems considered in this review. Cobalt ions (a moderate-size impurity) diffuse rapidly along the open channels parallel to the c axis in TiO2 whereas chromium ions (a smaller-sized impurity) do not. Les mesures par traceur de l'hétérodiffusion intrinsèque dans les céramiques oxydes ont été initialement limitées à CoO, NiO et Fe3O4. On a fait une revue de la diffusion de traces d'impuretés dans ces matériaux et dans TiO2 en même temps que des measures de l'effet des impuretés sur la diffusion de traceurs (Co dans NiO et Cr dans CoO). Les résultats sont discutés en termes d'interaction défauts/impuretés et de mécanismes de diffusion. Les impuretés bivalents dans les solvants bivalents semblent avoir une interaction faible avec les lacunes tandis que les impuretés trivalents dans les solvants bivalents influencent fortement les concentrations de lacunes et réduisent de façon significative les fréquences de saut du solvant près des impuretés de rayon ionique plus grand pour tous les systèmes considérés dans cette revue. Les ions de cobalt (impureté de taille moyenne) diffusent rapidement le long des canaux ouverts parallèlement à l'axe c de TiO2 mais ce n'est pas le cas du chrome (impureté de plus faible taille)." @default.
