- W2055688239 abstract "Models were developed and verified to represent the water removal rate data of the two components of combined impingement and through air drying process. Eight physically meaningful parameters were identified, determined, correlated and analyzed. The increasing rate period is extended by impingement water removal. Constant impingement water removal decreases linearly with through flow ratio at a fixed impingement exhaust air flow. Constant through flow water removal is independent of the impingement air. Critical moisture content relates with through flow ratio parabolically. The maximum through flow water removal rate depends on the slope of the paper temperature increase and the extent of the secondary increasing rate period which increases with paper basis weight and drying air temperature, but decreases with through flow ratio and initial moisture content. On a mis au point et vérifié des modèles afin de représenter les données de vitesse de retrait de l'eau par les deux composantes d'un procàdé de séchage combiné par impact et par air traversant. Huit paramàtres physiques significatifs ont été identifiés, determines, corrélés et analysés. La periode de vitesse croissante est prolongee par le retrait de I'eau par impact. Le retrait de I'eau a impact constant décroit linéairement avec le rapport de débit traversant a debit d'air évacué par impact fixe. Le retrait de l'eau a débit traversant constant est indépendant de l'air du séc0hage par impact. La teneur en humidité critique est reliée au taux d'eau traversant par une rélation de forme parabolique. La vitesse maximale de retrait de I'eau par le débit traversant dépend de la pente de l'ntation de la température du papier et de la durée du prolongement de la période de vitesse croissante secondaire qui augmente avec le grammage du papier et la température de séchage de l'air, mais diminue avec le taux de débit traversant et la teneur en humidite initiale." @default.
