Biography:Andrew McDowell began as a medical physicist in 1986 in the calibration and maintenance of radiotherapy equipment at Southend Hospital, before taking up his present post at Poole General Hospital. He is currently involved in the measurement of non-ionising radiation, and in the design of electronic aids for the disabled. Michael Lunt started in medical physics in 1969 at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London, before moving to Rotherham District General Hospital. He took up his present position as head of the East Dorset Medical Physics Department in 1986. Specific interests are in ultrasound and in the theory of pulsed magnetic field therapy." @default.
