• W2058148557 abstract "Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the zoonotic diseases of stray dog and cat in Gwangju, Korea. We chose randomly 300 samples which is 265, dogs and 35, cats in the public animal shelter from March to August of 2013. The animals’ blood biochemistry values measured, and the out of nor-mal values were 49.7% GOT, 36.3% GPT, and 78.0% GGT. The tested items were Dirofilaria immitis , Toxoplasma gondii , Brucella canis , Rabies virus . The positive results were 10% Dirofilaria immitis , 6.3% Toxoplasma gondii (antibody detected), 10% Rabies (antibody detected) but 0.0% in B. canis . The stray animals’ antibodyㆍantigen positivity take effect high from Mar.-May. Therefore, we propose that those diseases should be monitering and vaccinating in Korea. Key words : Stray animal, Dirofilaria immitis , Toxoplasma gondii , Brucella canis , Rabies virus 서 론 최근 국내 반려동물의 증가와 더불어 버려진 반려동물(유기동물) 또한 증가하여 생활주변을 더럽히거나 사람을 공격하는 경우도 발생하기도 하고, 인수공통전염병의 매개체가 될 수 있다는 우려를 낳기도 하는 등 사회 여러 문제를 야기하고 있다. 농림수산검역검사본부(2012)의 동물보호에 대한 국민의식 조사결과에 따르면, 개나 고양이를 기르고 있는 가정이 17.9%로 전국 반려동물 사육 가정 수를 약 359만 세대로 추산하고 있다. 2002년을 기점으로 정부에서는 인구 50만 이상의 시ㆍ군ㆍ구에 동물보호소 설치를 의무화 해왔다(성, 2006). 2012년 동물보호관리시스템 통계에 의하면 전국 유기동물 발생 및 처리현황은 개, 고양이, 기타를 포함하여 총 99,254두로서, ‘인도’ 8.8% (8,734), ‘분양’ 27.4% (27,223), ‘기증’ 1.5% (1,518), ‘자연사’ 23.2% (23,012), ‘안락사’ 24.5% (24,315), ‘방사’ 9.6% (9,552) ‘기타’ 4.9% (4,900)이었으며, 2013년 광주동물보호소에서 보호된 유기동물 발생 및 처리현황은 개, 고양이를 포함하여 총 2,715두로서, ‘주인 찾음’ 11.3% (307), ‘입양’ 35.4% (960), ‘자연사’ 24.1% (655), ‘안락사’ 27.2% (738), ‘방사’ 1.7% (47), ‘기타’ 0.3% (8)이었다. 이처럼 유기동물이 시민에게 입양되는 비율이 높아지고 있는 실정이다. 특히 동물보호소의 유기동물 입양에 대한 국민의식 수준 조사에서 80.0% 이상의 국민이 찬성하는 것으로 나타났으며, 반면 유기동물 입양에 반대하는 이유로는 ‘더러울 것 같음’ (31.9%)을 들었다(농림수산검역검사본부, 2012)." @default.
