- W2058621728 abstract "An infant with hemagglutinating antibody to the somatic (O) antigen of Salmonella typhosa has been studied. By ultracentrifugal analyses and 2-mercaptoethanol sensitivity, most of the infant's antibody activity was of the γM-immunoglobulin variety. Evidence for γG-antibody activity was obtained by means of radioactive binding of C14 endotoxin. Similar analyses of maternal and grandmaternal sera showed evidence of γG-, γA-, and/or γM-immunoglobulins. These data suggest that this infant might have been immunized in utero as a result of maternal immunization.
