- W2059869711 abstract "Mailing Address: Paulo Roberto b. evora • Rua Rui Barbosa, 367, Apt. 15 – 14015 120 Ribeirao Preto, SP, Brazil E-mail: prbevora@netsite.com.br Manuscript received May 1st, 2006; revised manuscript received August 5, 2006; accepted September 14, 2006. At the beginning of a discussion on crosstalk among transduction routes in circulation, it is appropriate to seek a definition for this term. A more traditional definition for crosstalk would be the ability of different components of a given transduction pathway to influence components of another pathway. Many authors prefer a less restrictive definition that includes actions on common targets (“crossed activation”’) or actions on separate targets, but that ultimately produce an identical effect on a single effector. Crosstalk is a growing concept as an underlying support for a coherently functional circulatory entity encompassing mechanisms that control the contractile apparatus, blood pressure, and circulating volume, both in normal physiology and in disease." @default.
