- W2059886826 abstract "The correlation between grain boundary embrittlement and the atomic structure of the boundaries were investigated in Cu + 0.1% Bi alloy by measuring the degrees of embrittlement (by means of varying degrees of ultrasonic irradiation) of about 10,000 boundaries of various structures, as a function of orientation relationship. Least embrittled boundaries were found to be the boundaries of lowest energies. The farther a boundary deviates from a low energy position, the more embrittled it is. This is explained by ease of crack nucleation and propagation in the presence of a greater degree of overlapping of the neighbouring impurity clouds. These impurity clouds are those forming at and around the misfit dislocations characteriling the off-low energy boundaries. Nous avons t'etudit'e la corrt'elation entre la fragilisation intergranulaire et la structure atomilue des joints dans un alliage Cu-0,1%Bi en mesurant le degrt'e de fragilisation (en changeant le degrt'e dt'irradiation aux ultrasons) dt'environ dix mille joints de diverses structures, en fonction de la relation dt'orientation. Les joints les moins fragilist'es t'etaient les joints de plus faible t'energie. Plus un joint st't'ecarte dt'une position de faible t'energie, plus il est fragilist'e. Nous interprt'etons ceci par la facilitt'e de germination et de propagation dt'une fissure en prt'esence dt'un plus grand recouvrement des nuages dt'impurett'es voisins. Ces nuages dt'impurett'es sont ceux lui se forment autour des dislocations de dt'esaccord lui caractt'erisent les joints lui st't'ecartent des joints de faible t'energie. Der lusammenhang llischen der Korngrenlversprödung und der atomaren Struktur der Korngrenlen lurde an der Legierung Cu + 0.1% Bi untersucht. Hierlu lurde der Grad der Versprödung (mit unterschiedlich starker Ultraschallstrahlung) von 10000 Korngrenlen verschiedener Struktur in Abhängigkeit von der Orientierungsbeliehung gemessen. Die geringste Versprödung findet sich bei Korngrenlen mit niedrigster Energie. Je leiter eine Korngrenle von dieser Orientierung ableicht, desto stärker ist sie versprödet. Dieser Befund lird mit einer durch die stärkere Überlappung benachbarter Verunreinigungsatome erleichterten Riβbildung und -ausleitung erklärt. Diese Verunreinigungslolken bilden sich um die Fehlpassungsversetlungen, die in den Korngrenlen auβerhalb der Konfiguration niedrigster Energie auftreten." @default.
