- W2059968553 abstract "Abstract The basement of the Moesian Platform exposed in central Dobrogea is represented by the Upper Proterozoic Histria Formation. This is a thick turbidifc succession which includes two sandstone-dominated, channelised mid-fan members, separated by a distal fan-abyssal plain sequence. A typical feature of this fine-grained member is the occurrence at the top of the T e Bouma divisions of tiny, flat intraclasts, defining a parallel lamination. This interval with millimetric to centimetric thicknesses was designated the e i interval. It usually occurs at top of T 7 or between T 3 and T 4 subdivisions of muddy turbidites. The internal structure and the geometric position of the e; interval suggests that the depositional mechanism involved erosion of muddy surface sediments by active turbiditic or thermohaline bottom currents, followed by redeposition of the resulted intraformational microclasts by slow settling." @default.
