• W2061087917 abstract "We have prepared thin films of the high temperature superconductor Bi2Sr2Ca1Cu2Oy with thicknesses between 1000 and 8000 Å by e-beam evaporation of stoichiometric targets. The oxygen partial pressure was 2 × 10−4 mbar. As substrates we used single crystals of SrTiO3 (001) and Si (111). The films on SrTiO3 exhibited a Tc onset at 95 K and zero resistance at 78 K. They were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and by scanning element-resolved electron microprobe analysis. For the Bi2Sr2Ca1Cu2Oy films on bare Si or on Si precoated by various buffer layers the depth profiles of the elements through the interface region were analyzed by SNMS (neutral particle SIMS). As a result we found Si3N4 to be a suitable buffer layer as diffusion barrier for a wide range of substrate temperatures. The superconducting properties of these films are strongly dependent on substrate and annealing temperatures as well as on sticking factors of the elements Bi, Sr, Ca, Cu at the interface region." @default.
