- W2061438520 abstract "Abstract Electron-electron double resonance (ELDOR) investigations of the · CFHCONH2 radical in irradiated fluoroacetamide crystals have revealed a large intensity variation of the allowed-allowed and allowed-forbidden ELDOR lines which is dependent on the magnitude of the fluorine hyperfine anisotropy. At fluorine splittings of 300 MHz or larger, no ELDOR lines are observed at AH; however, forbidden lines are observed at (AH/2) ± νH. When the fluorine splittings are decreased below 250 MHz, ELDOR lines at AH are observed with R equal to 2–5%. Intramolecular motion such as the torsional oscillations present about the CC bond in ·CF2CONH2 appeared to be dominant over the fluorine p-orbital anisotropy as the primary mode of relaxation. The p-orbital anisotropy was also shown to be dominated by quadrupole relaxation from ELDOR measurements of ·CCIFCONH2. Only a small temperature dependence was found for ELDOR spectra of ·CFHCONH2." @default.
