Le nouveau modele possede une valeur non fixee du point d'inflexion suivant ses valeurs parametriques, et en consequence a une flexibilite suffisante pour representer diverses courbes de croissance chez les crustaces. Afin d'evaluer le domaine d'application de ce nouveau modele, des modeles communement utilises, comme les equations de Spillman, Logistique, Gomperts, Von Bertalanffy, Hill, Richards et Janoschek sont comparees au nouveau modele, en utilisant 12 series d'observations.
