For higher critical currents, there is an asymmetry in these curves for frequencies above and below ω <inf xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>0</inf> , the resonant frequency of the circuit. Calculations using an expanded theory including the effects of a conductance <tex xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>G_{o}(1+alpha cos phi)</tex> and of screening flux give good agreement with the data. In principle α can be determined from these measurements, however the <tex xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>cos phi</tex> term and the screening flux produce qualitatively similar effects. A quantitative determination of α requires a precise knowledge of G <inf xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>o</inf> /I <inf xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>c</inf> . Using values of G <inf xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>o</inf> and I <inf xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>c</inf> from independent impedance measurements, the data yield a negative value of α in agreement with another experiment." @default.
