- W2064027710 abstract "As novel energy storage devices, multi-layer capacitors demonstrated good prospect along with the emergency of materials with huge dielectric constant and high breakdown electric field strength. The distribution of inner electrodes in multi-layer capacitors is a key factor to make full use of the excellent characteristics of the new dielectric materials. This paper studies and compares four various distribution schemes of inner electrodes of multi-layer capacitors by using finite element analysis, and optimized design parameters are given for these four schemes. Energy storage characteristics of multi-layer capacitors are analyzed and compared for the four distribution schemes with the proposed design parameters. Multi-layer capacitors designed with the four schemes and proposed design parameters are analyzed and compared in terms of energy storage characteristics. Simulation results have shown that the non-interlacing electrode distribution scheme has the best energy storage characteristics as it provides both high breakdown voltage and high energy storage density." @default.
