- W2068238597 abstract "The author examined the effectiveness of the optimization strategy of evolutionary computation and theconventional simulated annealing method when studying the locomotor motion of bipedal animals. Thesimulated annealing method is known as a powerful tool for finding near-optimal solutions forcombinatorial problems such as the NP-complete problem. However, the author found the evolutionarycomputational strategy more effective at finding near-optimal solutions of the running motion of bipedalanimals. The author conducted extensive simulations of the running motion of the large, bipedal dinosaurTyrannosaurus rex based on realistic, biological parameters. The authorâs simulations found that T.rexcould run quickly, up to 14 m/s, which is faster than the beings." @default.
