- W2069062723 abstract "Abstract Computer simulation experiments were conducted using two models with variations to simulate high temperature creep. In all cases, it was assumed that the rate-controlling step was the climb of edge dislocations. The models were capable of predicting steady state creep and, in the intermediate stress range, the stress exponent was 5. One of the major findings was that the glide internal stress has to be greater than the applied stress, which is contrary to previously interpreted experimental results (dip tests). Also, if the climb of edge dislocations is the rate-controlling step, then the climb internal stress should be considered." @default.
