- W2069120708 abstract "The differential scaning calorimetry study of the compound of formula CH3NH3PbCl3 in the temperature range 168 K–181 K shows two phase transitions according to the phase sequence: phase III (P2221) ← (172K) → phase II (P4/mmm) ← (179K) → phase I (Pm3m) These transitions were characterized by X-ray diffraction, DSC and Raman scattering. The III transition involves mainly the rotational and orientational motions of the organic cation, whereas the antiferroelectric transition at 172K is connected with a complex mechanism involving the freezing of the cation motions coupled with the distorsion of the PbCl6 octahedra This sequence has been also analysed in terms of pseudo-spin theory. Le matériau cubique de type perovskite CH3NH3PbCl3 présente deux transitions de phase à basse températures selon la séquence de phases suivante: III (P2221) ← (172K) → II (P4/mmm) ← (179K) → I (Pm3m) Les trois phases sont caractérisées par la diffraction des rayons X, par DSC et par la spectroscopie Raman. La transition I→II met en jeu essentiellement les mouvements de rotation et d'orientation du cation organique, alors que la transition antiferroélectrique II→III est associée à un mécanisme complexe qui met en jeu un ralentissement des mouvements du cation couplé à la distorsion des octaèdres PbCl6. Un modèle théorique basé sur la théorie de Landau a été développé afin d'analyser cette séquence de phases. Les paramètres d'ordre sont des variables de pseudo-spins." @default.
