- W2070162296 abstract "Abstract High energy and high resolution photoemission spectroscopy (PES) became a reality by virtue of the state of the art light source, monochromator and electron analyzer. This breakthrough is a very important means to study bulk electronic structures of correlated electron systems. Total resolution of practical photoelectron spectroscopy of better than 80 meV is achieved at 880 eV. The photoemission measurements carried out above several hundred electronvolts have shown the bulk sensitivity in many materials and provided spectra, which are much different from the surface sensitive spectra so far obtained below around 100 eV or by He II and I laboratory light sources. As a further breakthrough, the high energy angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES) is demonstrated to be a very powerful technique in Fermiology to obtain the bulk electronic states of correlated electron systems." @default.
