Progesteron wurde radioimmu-nologisch im Milchfett gemessen. Im Durchschnitt aller Betriebe zeigten 28,5% der Kü-he eine postpartale Azyklie von mehr als 28 Tagen. Ouarstorungen traten bei 17,1% der Tiere auf. In 22,3% der Besamungen wurde für die KB ein falscher Termin gewählt. Stille Brunst stellte bei weitem das gravierendste Fruchtbarkeitsproblem dar: 47,9% aller retrospektiu ermittelten Ovulationen uerliefen ohne Brunstsymptome. Über 80% aller Tiere waren hierbei mindestens einmal vom Problem der “stillen Brunst” betroffen. Im Durchschnitt der Praxisbetriebe kamen diese Fruchtbarkeitsprobleme annähernd mit der gleichen Häufigkeit uor, wie in früher untersuchten Versuchsherden, jedoch traten Ouarstörungen in ihrer Bedeutung zurück hinter Problemen bei der Brunsterken-nung. Zwischen den einzelnen Praxisbetrieben konnten erhebliche Unterschiede nachgewie-sen werden. Insbesondere folgende Betriebseinflüsse wurden deutlich: Kühe in Betrieben mit Anbindehaltung reigten häufiger und länger azyklische Phasen p.p. als Kühe im Laufstall. Azyklie trat darüber hinaus gehäuft bei Tieren auf, die im Frühjahr abge-kalbt hatten. Somit müssen saisonale und damit auch fütterungsbedingte Einflüsse an-genommen werden. Ovarstörungen wurden ebenfalls in Betrieben mit Anbindehaltung häufiger als bei Haltung im Laufstall beobachtet. In Betrieben rnit einem überdurch-schnittlichen Anteil stiller Brunsten ergaben sich auffallend weniger Besamungen zum falschen Zeitpunkt, wihrend sich in Betrieben mit geringem Anteil stiller Brunsten eine hohe Anrahl falscher Besamungstermine nachweisen lieβ. Das unter experimentellen Bedingungen beobachtete Phänomen, daβ im Brunstbereich bei stiller Brunst er-hohte Progesteronminima auftreten, konnte auch unter Praxisbedingungen bestätigt werden. Contents: Analysis of progesterone profiles of dairy cows to evaluate influences on fertility post-partum under practical farm conditions Progesterone profiles of the post partum-period were evaluated to monitor farm specific fertility problems in dairy cows. A total number of 183 cows from 11 farms (South-West Germany) were included. Progesterone was measured in milk-fat. 28, 5% of all cows investigated showed an acyclic period p.p. of more than 28 days. Disturbances of the ovarian function were observed in 17,1% of the animals. 22,3% of the A.I.s were not correct in time. The most frequent problem was silent heat: 47,9% of all ovulations were not accompanied by heat symptoms; more than 80% of the cows were affected at least once during the p.p.-period. Compared to results obtained from experimental farms problems in oestrus detection became more significant in the present study. The importance of the different fertility problems, however, varied considerably between the farms. Particularly the following influences could be demonstrated: Acyclia was more frequent in cows housed in stanchion barns compared to loose housing and in cows calving in spring compared to all other seasons of the year, so that seasonal influences in relation to nutritional factors have to be considered. Disturbances of the ovarian function occurred more frequently in cows housed in stanchion barns compared to loose housing. In farms with a low frequency of silent heat a higher percentage of A.I.s were not correctly timed.
