- W2072391165 abstract "Using the method of double-time thermal Green's functions and Kubo formalism, an expression is derived for the temperature dependence of the lattice thermal conductivity of a displacive ferroelectric in its paraelectric phase from the Hamiltonian proposed by Silverman and Joseph by augmenting it with four-phonon processes. It is shown that the total thermal conductivity can be separated into two terms contributed by acoustical and optical phonons, which, in the limiting case, reduce to the expressions obtained from the Boltzmann transport equation. Considering allowed three- and four-phonon scattering processes, expressions for acoustical and optical relaxation times are derived. Besides some additional terms, these expressions have the form similar to those obtained by Nettleton by using time-dependent perturbation theory neglecting contributions from three-phonon processes." @default.
