We need to replace old paradigms with new ideas. The virus's replication cycle can be divided conceptually into two parts. The first begins with binding or attachment of the virus to the host cell and entry into the cell and continues until the retroviral genome is integrated into the host cell DNA. The second part begins with transcription of HIV-specific messenger RNAs and continues through production and release of infectious virons....References1. SchooleyMeriganGaut RTP.
