- W2073879478 abstract "Different batches of the new US Geological Survey (USGS) reference materials (RMs) BCR-2, BHVO-2, AGV-2, DTS-2 and GSP-2 and the original USGS RMs BCR-1, BHVO-1, AGV-1, DTS-1 and GSP-1 have been analysed by isotope dilution using thermal ionisation mass spectrometry (ID-TIMS) and by multi-ion counting spark source mass spectrometry (MIC-SSMS). The concentrations of K, Rb, Sr, Ba and the rare earth elements were determined with overall analytical uncertainties of better than 1% (ID-TIMS) and 3% (MIC-SSMS). The analyses of different aliquots and batches of BCR-2, BHVO-2, AGV-2 and GSP-2, respectively, agree within 1%, i.e. approximately the analytical uncertainties of the data. This indicates an homogeneous distribution of the trace elements in these RMs. Differences in element concentrations of up to 17% in different aliquots of the depleted RM DTS-2 are outside the analytical uncertainty of our data. They may be attributed to a slightly heterogeneous distribution of trace elements in this dunite sample. Our trace element data for BCR-2, BHVO-2, AGV-2 and GSP-2 agree within about 3% with preliminary reference values published by the USGS. They also agree within 1-6% with those of the original RMs BCR-1, BHVO-1, AGV-1 and GSP-1. Large compositional differences are found between DTS-2 and DTS-1, where the concentrations of K, Rb, Sr and the light REE differ by factors of 2 to 24. Différents lots de nouveaux matériaux de référence (RM) de l'USGS, BCR-2, BHVO-2, AGV-2, DTS-2 et GSP-2, ainsi que d'anciens matériaux de référence de l'USGS, BCR-1, BHVO-1, AGV-1, DTS-1 et GSP-1 ont été analysés par dilution isotopique et spectrométrie de masse à thermoïonisation (ID-TIMS) et par spectrométrie de masse àétincelle couplée à un comptage multi-ionique (MIC-SSMS). Les concentrations en K, Rb, Sr, Ba et Terres Rares ont été déterminées avec des erreurs analytiques totales de l'ordre de 1% (ID-TIMS) et 3% (MIC-SSMS). Les analyses de différents aliquotes et lots de BCR-2, BHVO-2, AGV-2 et GSP-2 ont entre eux des écarts inférieurs à 1%, à peu près du même ordre de grandeur que l'erreur analytique sur les données. Ceci signifie une distribution homogène des éléments en traces dans ces matériaux de référence. Des écarts de concentrations allant jusquà 17% entre les aliquotes du matériau de référence DTS-2 sont au delà de l'erreur analytique de nos données. Ils peuvent être attribués à une distribution hétérogène des éléments en traces dans cet échantillon de dunite. Nos données en éléments en traces pour BCR-2, BHVO-2, AGV-2, DTS-2 et GSP-2 sont en accord à moins de 3% avec les données préliminaires publiées par l'USGS. Elles sont aussi en accord à moins de 1-6% avec celles obtenues sur les anciens RM BCR-1, BHVO-1, AGV-1 et GSP-1. Par contre des compositions très différentes sont observées entre DTS-1 et DTS-2; les concentrations en K, Rb, Sr et en Terres Rares Légères diffèrent d'un facteur compris entre 2 et 24." @default.
