The computed transition moment at Re = 2.348 a0 is 0.375 au and is expected to be accurate to = 5% for smaller distances, the relevant range for most spectroscopically interesting bands. At larger distances it decreases rapidly and is more uncertain. Absorption oscillator strengths and radiative lifetimes of the A1Πu vibrational levels have been obtained which are compatible with the measured values in flames and shock tubes, but are inconsistent with recent high-frequency deflection measurements and empirical values derived from solar data. A revised quadrupole moment of the X1Σg+ state is presented as well." @default.
