The work covers fundamental principles, recent developments, and trends in advanced nanobiophotonics techniques exploited for either minimally invasive diagnostics and imaging in biomedicine at cellular/intracellular level or development of nanosensors and nanostructured materials. Somerecently developed advanced ultrahigh-resolution nanotechnologies such as confocal nanoscopy and fiber-optic-based nanosensors, will also be discussed.
