- W207844190 abstract "On the basis of the results of neurolysis in 23 patients its practicability in treatment for consequences of traumatic injuries of brachial plexus was shown. It was important while using this technique to avoid as much as possible traumatization of nerve structures and relevant blood vessels by means of microsurgery equipment, optical magnification tools, wide use of hydropreparation both at external and internal neurolysis stages, by removing with care fibrous tissue in the interfascicular space, leaving intact as many feeding vessels as possible. In 91.3% of patients functionally positive results were achieved in the restoration of upper limb function. It was shown that while performing internal neurolysis, extra traumatization of fascicles, anastomosing nerve fibers and vessels in the epi-, periand endoneurium leading to a complete loss of conductivity may be a by-product. Neurolysis of proximal sections of long nerves and distal sections of secondary trunks proved to be more effective than that of primary trunks and proximal sections of secondary trunks of brachial plexus." @default.
