Although there are many reports pertaining to poisonings of this type, a review of the American literature reveals only six previously reported cases of malathion intoxication (1-6). All of these patients were children, and in only two was poisoning a result of oral ingestion. The patient to be presented differs in that he was a teenager who poisoned himself attempting suicide. Of the various organic phosphate insecticides, malathion is commonly seen in the home, as it has...References1. PARKERCHATTIN GFWR: A case of malathion intoxication in a ten-year-old girl. J.
