Évaluation des troubles psycho-comportementaux par le questionnaire EPADE et le questionnaire Inventaire Neuropsychiatrique-Équipes Soignantes (NPI-ES), utilisé comme outil de référence, lors de l’admission (j0), puis à j15. Tests de corrélations entre les résultats de ces deux outils à j0 et à j15, exprimés par les coefficients de corrélation.Quinze patients (10 femmes, 5 hommes) d’âge moyen 78,7 ± 6,74 ans (extrêmes 70 à 90 ans) ont été inclus dans l’étude. Parmi ces patients, 80 % (n = 15) souffrent d’un syndrome démentiel diagnostiqué avant l’admission. Les résultats des tests de corrélation entre les scores d’EPADE et du NPI-ES à j0 et à j15 montrent respectivement une corrélation positive (r = 0,70, p : 0,004) et (r = 0,63, p : 0,01).Notre étude semble confirmer la fiabilité de l’outil EPADE dans le repérage des troubles du comportement perturbateurs tels que décrits par la HAS pour les patients admis en UCC.Behavioural and psychological symptoms often accompany the evolution of dementia, causing suffering for both family and professional carers. The identification and assessment of the intensity of the behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) are a key stage in the admission into care of this population.The objective of this study is to assess the reliability of the tool for assessing difficult and exhausting elderly people (EPADE or Évaluation des Personnes Âgées Difficiles qui Épuisent) which is used to identify disruptive behavioural disorders as described by the French National Authority for Health (HAS) in a sample of patients with BPSD in a cognitive-behavioural unit.Prospective diagnostic study, with a sample of 15 elderly people hospitalised in a cognitive-behavioural unit (Broca Hospital, Paris), from March to May 2014, included in the study consecutively. Assessment of psychological and behavioural disorders by the EPADE questionnaire and the Neuropsychiatric Inventory-Care Givers (NPI-CG) questionnaire, used as a reference tool, upon admission (D0), then at D15. Correlation tests between the results of these two studies on D0 and at D15, expressed by correlation coefficients.Fifteen patients (10 women, 5 men) average age of 78.7 ± 6.74 years (extremes 70 to 90 years) were included in the study. Among these patients, 80% (n = 15) suffer from a dementia syndrome diagnosed before admission. The results of the correlation tests between the EPADE and the NPI scores on D0 and at D15 show respectively a positive correlation (r = 0.70, P: 0.004) and (r = 0.63, P: 0.01).Our study seems to confirm the reliability of the EPADE tool in identifying disruptive behavioural disorders as described by the HAS for patients admitted into a cognitive-behavioural unit." @default.
