- W2079696065 abstract "The adsorption of F− on Ag (110) has been investigated by means of differential capacitance measurements using a mixed electrolyte (NaF+KPF6) at constant ionic strength (0.04 mol dm−3). Fluoride ions have been found to adsorb at positive charges much more than on Hg, but the adsorption is vanishingly small at σ = 0 so that the potential of zero charge obtained by back-integration does not depend on the NaF concentration. The virial and the square-root isotherms have been tested and found to be obeyed with ΔG°ad depending linearly on charge, and with the interaction parameter decreasing monotonically with the positive charge. The inner layer capacitance has been split into its components related to the metal charge and the adsorbed charge, respectively. The resulting double layer model brings some evidence in favour of the possibility that the surface distribution of atoms influences the thickness of the inner layer." @default.
