- W2079715574 abstract "Abstract In the Kizildere geothermal field, temperature, pressure and output of the wells are measured and these measurements are continued periodically approximately every month for about 5–6 years. Kizildere geothermal reservoir is liquid-dominated. When the fluid rises in the borehole, the pressure drop causes it to flash and steam starts to come out. Two per cent of the total fluid in the reservoir is CO 2 , but at 70 psia separation pressure at the surface, about 10% of the fluid is steam and about 10–20% of this steam is noncondensable gases, especially CO 2 . There is also a large amount of scaling due to this pressure drop in the wellbore and in the surface equipment. Kizildere geothermal field has two reservoirs. The upper reservoir has a relatively low temperature and low permeability, whereas the deeper reservoir has higher temperature and higher permeability. KD-1, KD-1/A, TH-1, KD-2, KD-3, KD-4, KD-8 and KD-12 cross the upper reservoir and KD-111, KD-6, KD-7, KD-9, KD-13, KD-14, KD-15 and KD-16 the lower reservoir. A 1 year production test program was implemented in 1972–1973 and in 1976–1977. Six productive wells, KD-6, KD-7, KD-13, KD-14, KD-15 and KD-16, were kept open during this period and tested. Daily production and CO 2 content in the steam were monitored. Borehole temperature and pressure measurements were made approximately every month. The effects of production on reservoir temperature and pressure, CO 2 content, scaling and production itself were observed. A short-term interference test and a short-term reinjection test were conducted. A pressure build-up test was attempted but permeability is so high that pressure builds up in a few minutes and the resulting curve is a straight line with zero slope, so that it is not possible to define permeability by this method." @default.
