- W2079752833 abstract "The absorption/desorption of hydrogen (deuterium) by fcc ternary substitutional Pd 0.90 Rh 0.10− x Ni x and Pd 0.90 Rh 0.10− x Co x alloys has been examined. The dilute phase solubilities are very similar for all of these ternary alloys including the component binary ones, e.g., Pd 0.90 Rh 0.10 and Pd 0.90 Ni 0.10 , which are used in the appropriate proportions for the preparation of the ternary alloys. The plateau pressures of the ternary alloys were found to lie between those of their component binary alloys. The ternary Pd 0.90 Rh 0.10− x Ni x alloys exhibited effects due to cycling through the hydride phase (323 K) which were more similar to those found in the Pd 0.90 Ni 0.10 rather than the Pd 0.90 Rh 0.10 alloy. The ternary alloys were subjected to treatment with moderately high pressures of hydrogen at moderately high temperatures which had been found to cause phase separation in the component binary alloys. The Pd 0.90 Rh 0.07 Ni 0.03 and Pd 0.90 Rh 0.03 Ni 0.07 alloys showed indications of phase separation but the Pd 0.90 Rh 0.05 Ni 0.05 alloy did not." @default.
