The values of the recombination coefficients obtained are ${ensuremath{alpha}}_{r}({{mathrm{He}}_{2}}^{+})<~4ifmmodetimeselsetexttimesfi{}{10}^{ensuremath{-}9}$, ${ensuremath{alpha}}_{r}({{mathrm{Ne}}_{2}}^{+})=(2.2ifmmodepmelsetextpmfi{}0.2)ifmmodetimeselsetexttimesfi{}{10}^{ensuremath{-}7}$, ${ensuremath{alpha}}_{r}({{mathrm{Ar}}_{2}}^{+})=(6.7ifmmodepmelsetextpmfi{}0.5)ifmmodetimeselsetexttimesfi{}{10}^{ensuremath{-}7}$, ${ensuremath{alpha}}_{r}({{mathrm{Kr}}_{2}}^{+})=(1.2+0.1)ifmmodetimeselsetexttimesfi{}{10}^{ensuremath{-}6}$, and ${ensuremath{alpha}}_{r}({{mathrm{Xe}}_{2}}^{+})=(1.4ifmmodepmelsetextpmfi{}0.1)ifmmodetimeselsetexttimesfi{}{10}^{ensuremath{-}6}$ ${mathrm{cm}}^{3}$ ${mathrm{sec}}^{ensuremath{-}1}$. The values were independent of gas pressure over the pressure ranges studied. The influence on the measuring technique of the collision frequency for momentum transfer of electrons with gas atoms caused an apparent pressure dependence of the measured recombination coefficient of ${mathrm{Xe}}_{2}^{+}$ ions." @default.
