The quasielastic peak was Fourier-transformed to obtain the intermediate scattering law. The experimental results are compared to theoretical scattering laws calculated on the basis of the random walk theory. Expressions for the rotational and translational contributions are derived. Their correspondence with equivalent expressions for the nuclear magnetic relaxation rates is discussed in detail. The parameters in the theoretical intermediate scattering laws are taken from published NMR relaxation data. Translational self-diffusion constants were determined by spin-echo experiments. Durch Fouriertransformation der quasielastischen Linie wurde das intermediäre Streugesetz erhalten. Die experimentellen Ergebnisse werden mit theoretischen Streugesetzen verglichen, die auf der Basis der “random walk”-Theorie berechnet wurden. Ausdrücke für die rotatorischen und translatorischen Anteile werden abgeleitet. Auf deren Korrespondenz mit entsprechenden Beziehungen für die kernmagnetischen Relaxationsraten wird im einzelnen hingewiesen. Die Parameter, die in den theoretischen intermediären Streugesetzen vorkommen, konnten veröffentlichten Daten über kernmagnetische Relaxation entnommen werden. Lediglich translatorische Selbstdiffusionskonstanten waren nach der Spin-Echo-Technik zu bestimmen.
