At high temperature gradient and low growth velocity, the well-developed preferred orientation for coarse columnar crystals was identified to be (2 2 2) planes of L10 martensite. More significantly, a giant martensitic single-variant set was evident in the oriented columnar crystal. Two types of micro-twinning substructure within the martensitic lamellae, which are induced by high internal stress, were also analyzed. The magnetic domains intersecting with martensitic lamellae were observed by electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD)." @default.
