Competition of ferro- and antiferromagnetic interaction results in quite a complex behaviour : x > 0.45 corresponds to alloys with a typical ferromagnetic order and a transition to a paramagnetic state at a Curie temperature T <inf xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>c</inf> ; at intermediate composition (0.40 < x < 0.45) the alloys exhibit a double transition : a first one at T <inf xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>M</inf> is a spin-glass-like transition and a second one at T <inf xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>c</inf> > T <inf xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>M</inf> is from ferro- to paramagnetism; the alloys on the tin side (0.25 < x < 0.40) transform directly from spin-glass to paramagnetic state at T <inf xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>M</inf> or remain paramagnetic (x < 0.25) whatever the temperature." @default.
