- W2085846114 abstract "A comparative analysis has been done of the formerly established two self-consistent solutions for the density of quasiparticle states in doped d-wave superconductors, having strikingly different and disputed behavior near the Fermi energy. One of them, (i), remains finite in this limit, while the other, (ii), tends to zero. To resolve this discrepancy, the known Ioffe–Regel criterion for band states, widely used for doped semiconductors, was reformulated to these solutions. This permitted to show that each solution has its specific validity region in energy, where it describes weakly damped quasiparticles, but the two regions do not coincide. In particular, density of states of nodal quasiparticles close to the Fermi level is provided by the (ii) solution, while the (i) solution only applies far enough from this level." @default.
