- W2085926291 abstract "The weak ferromagnetism of ${mathrm{La}}_{1.99}{mathrm{Sr}}_{0.01}mathrm{Cu}{mathrm{O}}_{4}$ epitaxial thin films is investigated using magnetoresistance measurement. While a step-like negative magnetoresistance associated with the weak ferromagnetic transition is clearly observed in the films grown on $mathrm{Y}mathrm{Al}{mathrm{O}}_{3}(001)$, it is notably suppressed in the films grown on $mathrm{Sr}mathrm{Ti}{mathrm{O}}_{3}(100)$ and ${(mathrm{La}mathrm{Al}{mathrm{O}}_{3})}_{0.3}{(mathrm{Sr}{mathrm{Al}}_{0.5}{mathrm{Ta}}_{0.5}{mathrm{O}}_{3})}_{0.7}(100)$, and almost disappears in films grown on $mathrm{La}mathrm{Sr}mathrm{Al}{mathrm{O}}_{4}(001)$. The strong suppression of the step-like magnetoresistance provides evidence that the $mathrm{Cu}{mathrm{O}}_{2}$ planes are much less corrugated in thin films grown on tetragonal substrates, particularly on $mathrm{La}mathrm{Sr}mathrm{Al}{mathrm{O}}_{4}(001)$, than in bulk crystals." @default.
