- W2086173399 abstract "The effect of doping of Tl upon thermoluminescence, its emission and optical absorptioii in flux grown BaFCl crystals is investigated. Besides an increase in luminescence output, X/γ-irradiations of BaFCl: Tl crystals produce three additional glow peaks at 450, 465, and 500 K and a TL emission spectrum at 460 nm. Optical absorption studies reveal two small bands at 340 and 650 nm. Room temperature annealing studies indicate that the three glow peaks at 450, 465, 500 K and the optical absorption band at 650 nm are more stable than others present in undoped crystals. Thus the additional glow peaks are attributed to the detrapping of electrons from the substantial number of metastable energy levels as populated by the thallium impurity and subsequent radiative recombination with holes. The trap depth and frequency factor are calculated employing various methods. Der Einfluß einer Tl-Dotierung auf die Thermolumineszenz, die Emission und optische Absorption von aus dem Schmelzfluß gezogenen BaFCl-Kistallen wird untersucht. Neben einem Anwachsen des Lumineszenzsignals, ruft cine Röntgen/γ-Bestrahlung der BaFCl: Tl-Kristalle drei zusatzliche Glowmaxima bei 450, 465 und 500 K und ein Tl-Emissionsspektrum bei 460 nm hervor. Unter-suchungen der optischen Absorption ergeben zwei kleine Banden bei 340 und 650 nm. Tempe-rungsuntersuchungen bei Zimmertemperatur zeigen, daß die drei Glowmaxima bei 450, 465 und 500 K sowie die optische Absorptionsbande bei 650 nm stabiler sind als die anderen in undotierten Kristallen auftretenden Banden. Die zusatzlichen Glowmaxima werden deshalb der Befreiung von Elektronen aus einer beträchtlichen Zahl von metastabilen Energieniveaus, die mit Thalliumver-unreinigungen besetzt sind und nachfolgender strahlender Rekombination mit Löchern zugeordnet. Die Traptiefe und der Frequenzfaktor werden mit verschiedenen Methoden berechnet." @default.
