- W2087316189 abstract "Current methods of exploding wire particle combustion temperature measurement techniques are reviewed and the theory and techniques of two-color photo-pyrometry (TCP) for moving particles are detailed. TCP was developed to measure the temperature of particles ejected from moving particles. Numerical expressions are defined for the black-body radiation, the actual radiant intensity, and the total power emitted by a particle through monochromatic filters. The formulas are employed to predict the resulting film exposures for two monochromatic photographs with two cameras and account is taken of errors in measured temperature, film density, film calibration and emissivity. Sample results for exploding aluminum wires in steam obtained with a microdensitometer, ASA 3200 film, a 1 kW quartz-halogen lamp, and 480 and 650 nm filters are provided. A maximum temperature of 3360 K was registered and considered accurate to within 5.7 percent." @default.
