Results are consistent with recent theoretical conduction band structures. In both cases the pressure characteristics can be analysed in terms of the lowest conduction band minima not having direct Gamma 1C properties. For CdSiP2 results indicate that more than one conduction band minimum is close in energy at atmospheric pressure. An increase in resistivity with pressure is observed for CdGdAs2 implying that the Gamma 1C minimum is lowest in energy." @default.
