- W2089184862 abstract "The crystallization kinetics of Se90Bi10 and Se85Bi5Te10 chalcogenide glasses has been studied and discussed using Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) under a non-isothermal condition at different heating rates. Different methods were used to deduce the values of activation energy of glass transition Eg and activation energy of crystallization Ec based on heating rate dependence of characteristic temperatures such as glass transition temperature Tg, onset crystallization temperature Tc and peak crystallization temperature Tp. Both values of Eg and Ec are found to be heating rate and composition dependent. According to Avrami index n, the crystallization mechanism was interpreted as three-dimensional growth for binary Se90Bi10 and two-dimensional growth for ternary Se85Bi5Te10 compositions. Some kinetic parameters, the Hruby number Hr, glass formation ability (GFA), and the temperature difference (Tc–Tg), the reduced glass transition temperature Trg and thermal stability S are studied as functions of heating rates and compositions." @default.
