- W2091369884 abstract "Cytological studies have characterized the development of chromaffin tissue cells from the derivative glial elements of the sympathetic nervous system. It has been shown that the synthesis of specific hormones in them (adrenalin and noradrenalin) is one of the features of chromaffinoblast differentiation. Definite interrelationships in the ontogenesis of vertebrates have been revealed; these are (1) a connection between the synthesis of catecholamine hormones (mediators of the sympathetic nervous system) and the development of motor reactions in the embryogenesis of vertebrates, and (2) a relation between the amount of synthesized hormones and the development of melanin pigments. The present study suggests the possiblity of (a) neurohumoral regulation of mobility in the embryo (by the central nervous system), and (b) dependence of the neurohumoral activity of the sympathetic nervous system on the extent of melanin formation." @default.
